Phenolic compounds biodegradation of olive mili wastewater with Aspergillus terreus

Abstract


Olive mill wastewater degradation by Aspergillus terreus and under aerobic conditions at 28°C, was measured by the parameter of phenol content.
We have explored the effect of different concentrations of olive mill wastewater upon the activity of Aspergillus terreus.
Through HPLC, 10 phenol compounds (90% of the total phenolic content of the olive mill wastewater) were identified.
